Significant natural resources program review and assessment

Thank you for visiting our Significant Natural Resources Review and Assessment project open house.

Please stop by all the "tables" we have set up for you. You'll find information about the recently released Significant Natural Resources Draft Program Review and Assessment and potential program and policy changes we are exploring.

At Table 6, we hope you will provide your feedback and take our short survey. It takes less than 15 minutes to complete. Your feedback will help our team as they finalize the report and develop recommendations.

About the project

The County's program for preservation and protection of Significant Natural Resources (SNRs) has been in place since the 1980s. Over time, some community members have questioned how the County is implementing the regulations and how sensitive natural resources are being protected. To address concerns raised both by the residential and development community, the Board of Commissioners directed staff to prepare this in-depth review and assessment of the County's Goal 5 program, particularly for the urban area.

The assessment is intended as a starting point for discussion.

Please find the SNR Assessment here and the technical appendices here.
